ART'S BRIGHT LIGHT 09:30 - 27 July 2005. One of the bright young things on the modern art circuit is settling in for month-long residency at Hull Art Lab.

Fresh from his Masters degree show at the Royal College of Art, Alistair McClymont's work shows he is heavily influenced by conceptual art as well as a very individual brand of realism.

"My work involves sculpture, photography and video," he says. "I like to reflect on everyday occurrences, domestic spaces and objects and I like to show a romantic, and sometimes, a slightly cynical view of these things."
